Could it be? Why yes... The Robot Tamashii Evangelion Unit 1 and Unit 2. I really wanted to add to the collection some EVA figures and since the Soul of Chogokin Spec Eva's are now rare and sky rocket to 200$ a piece or even more on ebay, I decided to settle with some compact but very detailed and very well articulated replacements. I looked at reviews between the Revoltech and the Robot Tamshii Evangelions and decided to get the latter ones.They have a superior sculpt and paint job , despite not coming with a ton of accessories like the Revoltech Evolution of Eva ones.
Safely packed with bubble-wrap. I was very nervous ,cause there were my first real figures,excluding the Max Factory Guyvers , and considering their size I had to be extra careful.
The Evangelion Unit 1 comes with an AT-Field that can be placed on a stand.
Simple and effective yet it looks very good.
Now for the Eva Unit 1. As i said it has great articulation . There are two set of heads - one with a closed mouth and another with an open mouth.
Also each Eva comes with an ambilical cable ,which is very handy for some extra balance when the Eva is on the ground.
Despite the crappy photos , the paintjob really is top-notch.
Now the Eva Unit 02 comes with some extra "air" gear consisting of shoulders that have some thrusters . Two progressive knifes ,a harpoon-type weapon that was used in the Evangelion 2.22 Movie if i'm not mistaking and a crossbow-like weapon that looks bad-ass

I was waiting for Unit 03 so decided to put them against one another for the time being. they look pretty nice. A friend of mine asked what are these light gray things behind them ( the feet of the destiny gundam ) and i explained ;d
I am planning to make a new glass shelf where i can pose the Eva separately , for now they will be with the Gundams.

And as strange as it may sound - the red Eva begins to grow on me more. I don't know why . Maybe it's because I like red ,pink,maroon and other scarlet-coloured mobile suits.
So sleek and sexy . I love that Unit 02. But Shinji's iconic Eva 01 is made with the same quality and care. Its just personal choice i guess . :-]
Overall if you are an Evangelion fan and want a 16-17cm Eva suits - I think that till date these are the best money can guy. The Soul of Chogokin Spec XS-01R Eva( the R stand for revised version i guess) is really rare and costs 200$ or more.This line is praised to be the best Eva incarnation with an inner skeleton and die-cast metal parts.But since space is becoming a factor in the room , I decided to get something compact that can stand it own ground on terms of sculpt,paintjob and articulation.
And here it is - the Robot Spirits or Tamashii or Damashii Eva Unit 03 or as we find out 5 minutes later the thirteenth angel Bardiel.This fellow is an exclusive and it does not sell outside of Japan.Good thing that there are sites that offer it .Bad thing is that it is sold pretty much everywhere now, so your chances are to either buy it from ebay or at a forum .

So you get 2 pairs of long hands , an entry plug covered in blue substance ,umbilical cord and a ton of hands.Eva 03 does not come with weapons , but you can swap some from unit 01 02 or 00
The sculpt as expected is superb.
Looks very dark sinister ominous - you get the picture ;d

As you can see - the mouth can open ,revealing some nice details.
